Hell at this point it’s about fitting as many buffs as you can. Ideally, you always want the most damage you can get while still maintaining whatever defensive buffs you may or may not need. My reasoning for the grades is simple and I should have explained: I also made a buff tier list, and loosely based on the grades on that. There are certainly plenty of other ways to do it, none of which would ever be applauded by this crowd lol.

Thanks for being the only non-dick in the thread (so far) lol. If you want to get advanced, create a tier list as suggested but do it for each element individually so people can accomplish the same thing with mono element teams too.

Sure it won't capture exact synergies and different content requires different things, but tier lists are supposed to be shortcuts for "I have no idea what I'm doing what units should I put in my team?" Brave Frontier doesn't operate on having one unit from each element, it operates around having different units cover different roles so that your team as a whole can take damage and deal damage well (or do iUBB but if you're using a tier list you're probably not ready for that). The idea is that I should be able to pick one mitigator, a couple supports (one defense + one other), and a couple nukers from the tier list and if they're top tier units in their roles, I should have a pretty good squad. You can also put a mark next to each unit if it's a good leader in that category, or potentially rank the leader skills separately and factor it in to the final rank (role rank + 20% of leader skill rank or something like that). Nuking (primarily focused on damage passives as opposed to buffs, with HP scaled/multi attacking units ranking highly) Offense (EWD, Spark, Crit dmg/chance, recast etc.)ĭebuffer (Status ailment infliction, attack down, etc.) Roles need to be broken out into main categories + sub categories, something like thisĭefense (burst heal, HoT, Dot Mit, status null/cleanse, etc.) Real talk though there's no point in categorizing units into elements and then ranking them, only the role category matters and it was last updated wtf?
